Machine Adjuster

Shift Schedule:  12 hour / 2-2-3 schedule

Job Description & Duties

  • Adjusting machines for attainment of quality production.
  • Checks operation of injection molding presses, hot stamp machines, additive feeders, conveyors, etc., checks parts, inspects for defects such as blisters, warping, cracks, defective finish, excessive flash, missing or displaced inserts, and gauges finished parts.
  • Starts Injection Molding presses according to established processes.  
  • Performs quality tests on auxiliary testing equipment.
  •  Diagnoses and corrects difficulties in operation of molds, presses, and other equipment.  
  • Requires ability to vary prescribed operation conditions as necessary to produce quality parts.  
  • Changes and adjusts feed and time as necessary to correct deficiencies in quality.
  • Recommends changes in and repairs of presses, molds, and other equipment.  Keep production and process control monitoring records.  
  • May assist with mold changes when necessary.
  • Maintains a neat and orderly work area.  Performs other duties as directed by supervision.

Qualifications

  • Ability to use basic mechanic's hand tools, thickness gauges, scales, etc.
  • Overtime is required

Maintenance Technician

Shift Schedule:  12 hour / 2-2-3 schedule on Night Shift

Job Description & Duties

  • Maintain all process machinery and plant equipment in operating condition, perform complete job changes (mold changes and setups) on production equipment.
  • Process machinery and plant equipment include injection molding presses, molds, grinders, pumps, motors, blenders, compressors, boilers, lighting and electrical systems, conveying systems, robots, automatic handling equipment, assembly machinery, and other specialized equipment and systems.
  • Maintain and install process piping, valves, timers, thermocouples, fittings, gauges, solenoids, switches, etc., and all types of hydraulic, pneumatic, steam, and air systems.
  •  
    Set up, remove, inspect, and maintain molds of all sizes and complexities in an automatic or semi-automatic press so that molds and presses are ready for production.
  • Make insert changes, disassemble, clean, and reassemble molds according to production requirements.
  • Install and remove auxiliary equipment such as insert loads, material dryers, shrink fixtures, hot stamp machines, conveyors, sprue separators, test equipment, etc.
     
  • Lubricate machines and equipment and perform other plant maintenance as required.
  • Develop and maintain blueprints.
  • Instruct, direct, and train other employees.
  • Keep spare parts inventory for various machines and equipment.
  • Consult and work closely with plant engineering and management. Recognize the need for and seek appropriate assistance as necessary.
  •  Requires diversified and skilled work using a high degree of independent initiative and good judgment and the ability to improvise and adapt where necessary.
  • Analyze, plan, direct, and perform complex work to install, maintain, repair, and modify plant machines, and equipment.  
  • Requires considerable knowledge, skill, and experience in such areas or fields as machine tools, electrical and mechanical theory and practice, electronics, robotics, heating and air conditioning, plumbing, sheet metal, carpentry, etc.

Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED
  • You must be willing and able to work any shift
  • You must be willing to work Saturday and Sunday
  • Overtime is mandatory and is a condition of employment
  • You must take a written assessment of mechanical and electrical aptitude

Automation Technician

Shift Schedule:  12 hour / 2-2-3 schedule on Night Shift

Job Description & Duties

  • Program and maintain Nachi Palletizing Cells and Fanuc robots.
  • Ensure proper programming and set up of manufacturing automation systems is implemented for job changes for any automated equipment.
  • Maintain Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV’s).
  • Trouble shoot and repair manufacturing automation systems.
  • Maintain the auto labeler system.
  • Perform documented preventive maintenance and safety checks of manufacturing automation systems.
  • Perform monthly safety audits following plant based criteria.
  • Maintain automated quality testing equipment.
  • Setup and adjustments on Cognex and Keyence vision systems
  • Maintain automated assembly equipment.
  • Leadership skills and training of other technicians.
  • Responsible for challenge and testing of all automated assemble Equipment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 years of automation experience. Robotic training preferred. 
  • Associate Degree.
  • Experience with Allen & Bradley and Siemens PLCs and Vision Systems.
  • A strong background in maintenance. 
  • Must be willing to work any shift. Overtime is required
