Safe use of various equipment, follow process specifications, and meet production standards to manufacture products. Perform various operations safely to supply products to meet customer requirements. Use gauges and other measurement devices to insure accurate output of products.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Understand and utilize all guarding / protection.
• Adhere to procedures relating to the proper use and care of equipment and materials.
• Attend training and develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills.
• Change machine setups and/or make minor adjustments to machines to produce product, which meets the designated product specifications for that particular workstation.
• Use gauge instruments or visual inspection to identify quality problems, which may contribute to product being produced, which does not meet specification.
• Where applicable enter scheduled/produced information on computer database for the workstation assigned daily.
• Follow process specifications pertaining to the workstation assigned.
• Communicate effectively with fellow team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Emphasis will be placed on ability to learn/cross train on multiple workstations.
• Work overtime as needed.
HS Diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
1+ years manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
The maintenance technician should ensure equipment is in good repair and fix mechanical issues should they arise. A person in this role will carry out various maintenance related tasks on mixers, mills, pumps, filters, compressors, and other manufacturing equipment. The maintenance technician will come in contact with a variety of chemicals and chemical waste products, some of which can be hazardous. The successful candidate must possess the following:
• Must be able to work independently, be able to execute strenuous, sometimes repetitive physical work such as lifting, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 pounds, work in extreme temperatures, indoors and out and be able to work any shift.
• Must be mechanically inclined and able to troubleshoot mechanical related issues.
• Maintain a working knowledge of all SOPs associated with preventative maintenance tasks.
• Perform daily housekeeping of his/her area and all equipment.
• Maintain an acceptable attendance record which will be monitored continuously.
• Be knowledgeable and adhere to all safety requirements.
• Have the ability to work during the night shift and weekends if needed.
• With proper training, the candidate should become proficient in all facets of maintenance technician duties.
These duties include but are not limited to:
• Adhering to a PM schedule and reporting any issues.
• Keeping careful documentation on the condition of essential pieces of equipment.
• Break down a media mill for routine inspections and perform full wet and dry end rebuilds if needed.
• Treating wastewater at our onsite facility.
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Basic operation of DC & AC Circuits
Basic understanding of automated valves and instrumentation
Basic electrical relay logic circuits
Basic understanding of mechanical gear boxes
Demonstrate basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
Basic understanding of pneumatic diaphragm pumps
Basic operation of temperature, pressure and flow control loops
How to read & interpret electrical drawings and instrument loop sheets.
How to read, interpret and troubleshoot PLC programs
How to use basic hand tools.
Possesses basic computer skills (Word, Excel)
Maintains area housekeeping to ensure a safe workplace
Works with other maintenance personnel to successfully resolve an issue even it is not electrically related.
Willingness to work overtime and respond to call in requests as plant support is needed.
Willingness to train and develop production operators to perform basic maintenance tasks.
