Irrigation Technicians

Responsibilities

The irrigation technician is responsible for repairing and maintaining commercial irrigation systems in designated landscaping areas to maintain or improve the condition of plants or lawns.
  • Monitor specific areas for potential and existing issues.
  • Work independently or with others under little to no supervision.
  • Maintain current and accurate records of products used, problems encountered, or other essential job-related information.
  • Lift and transport objects weighing more than 50 lbs.
  • Safely maintain and operate various equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with others and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Be willing to work long hours and on a variable schedule.
  • Be prepared to work outdoors under various environmental conditions.
  • Install systems and ensure they operate efficiently.
  • Repair and maintain valves, trace electrical components, install and initialize clocks and timers, locate existing zones and valves, and perform pump repairs.
  • Comply with the company's safety policy and ensure public safety during equipment operation.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through effective communication, relationship building, and regular site visits.
  • Report results to the Irrigation Manager.
  • Keep in mind that working overtime is common, and you should expect to work about 45 to 50 hours per week, with over 50 hours during the busiest times.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • English is necessary for interacting with customers
  • It is mandatory to have a driver's license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with commercial irrigation systems.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Certification in irrigation is a plus.
  • Knowledge of two-wire systems.

Landscape Laborer

Responsibilities

Our team members are assigned, but not limited to, the following tasks:

Maintain and/or build outdoor environments using manual or electric tools or equipment. Workers generally perform a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: laying sod, mowing grass, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, installing or repairing sprinklers, forming and finishing concrete, installing prefabricated structures like stairs, building pools, and installing live plants, including palm trees.

  • Operate motorized vehicles and equipment, such as lawn mowers, tractors, dual-axle vehicles, snow plows, chainsaws, electric trimmers, lawn cutters, and pruning saws.
  • Cut or edge lawns using mowers or edgers.
  • Care for established lawns through mulching, aerating, weeding, trimming, removing thatch, or edging around flower beds, paths, or walls.
  • Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, saws, hedge trimmers, or axes.
  • Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges using pruning shears, trimmers, or chainsaws.
  • Collect and dispose of trash.
  • Maintain or repair tools, equipment, or structures such as buildings, greenhouses, fences, or benches using hand or electric tools.
  • Mix and spray or spread fertilizers, herbicides, or insecticides on lawns, shrubs, or trees using manual or automatic sprayers.
  • Provide proper maintenance of sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, fountains, planters, burial sites, or other landscape features.
  • Water lawns, trees, or plants using portable sprinkler systems, hoses, or watering cans.
  • Trim or collect flowers and clean flower beds.
  • Rake, mulch, and compost leaves.
  • Follow planned landscaping designs to determine where to place sod, seed grass, or plant flowers or foliage.
  • Plant seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees, or shrubs, and apply mulch for protection using gardening tools.
  • Decorate gardens with stones or plants.
  • Create forms for concrete, pour concrete, and finish it.
  • Create forms for pool construction.
  • Install live plants, including palm trees.
  • Install or repair landscaping irrigation or sprinkler systems.
  • Keep in mind that working overtime is common, and you should expect to work about 45 to 50 hours per week, with over 50 hours during the busiest times.

 

Qualifications:
  •  At least 3 months of experience in:
    • Landscaping
    • Construction
    • Agriculture
  • English preferred, but not required
  • Priority given to those with a driver's license

Spray Technicians

Responsibilities

  • Safely and accurately calibrate, record, and apply chemicals in designated landscaping areas.
  • Monitor target areas for existing or potential problems.
  • Work independently or with others, with little to no supervision.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of products used, problems encountered, or other important information.
  • Lift and transport items weighing over 50 pounds.
  • Safely operate various equipment, including spray trucks, backpack sprayers, rotary and drop spreaders, and products related to application and calibration.
  • Communicate effectively with others and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ensure the safety of all employees and customers.
  • Keep in mind that working overtime is common, and you should expect to work about 45 to 50 hours per week, with over 50 hours during the busiest times.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • One year of experience or at least two years of study in a related field.
  • Must have or be willing to obtain a Chemical Applicator Certification.
  • Class D driver's license and a clear driving record (MVR).
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Ability to walk for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work long hours and varied schedules.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in diverse environmental conditions.
