We are seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in removing and installing rotating equipment, troubleshooting, repairing, and rebuilding various types of equipment. The Field Service Technician will be responsible for performing on-site installations, repairs, and maintenance of equipment, providing technical support to customers, and ensuring the efficient operation of the equipment. Experience with CAT, Cummins, MTU, Allison, and Twin Disc equipment is highly preferred.
Job Responsibilities:
- Install and remove rotating equipment such as engines, generators, pumps, and compressors.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and identify root causes.
- Repair equipment by replacing or repairing defective parts, adjusting parts and components, and verifying the proper operation of equipment.
- Rebuild equipment to restore to proper working condition.
- Work closely with customers to provide technical support and assist in resolving technical issues.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and inventory levels.
- Ensure the proper use and care of all tools, equipment, and vehicles.
- Maintain a safe work environment by following all company policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar field service technician role.
- Experience with CAT, Cummins, MTU, Allison, and Twin Disc equipment is highly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and drawings.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as required.
